We are very glad to announce that the first Chinese Entrepreneur Network Board has been formed!

In the past month, from the Financial Crisis seminar, CEN has grown to over 50 members, including about students, scholars, faculties and managers from other schools and companies.

各位羽毛球爱好者，大家好！

密西根大学中国留学生及学者联谊会（UM-CSSA）决定举办一次羽毛球友谊赛，以增进友谊, 促进交流。

比赛将与12月6日星期六在北校区的NCRB举行，比赛将由下午3点开始，约6点结束。

比赛将设置男子双打，女子双打和混合双打(男子单打和女子单打的设置与否将根据该两项的报名人数决定)。比赛将采用21分制，设冠军，亚军，季军，参赛人员将以2人双打组合为基本单位，与其他组合参与冠军争夺。

The 2009 China New Year Gala is IN PREPARATION! Performances and hosts are in great demand! Register and prepare to be the super star, NOW!

As the tradition of UMCSSA, the China New Year Gala will be held every year for all Chinese people in local community to celebrate the Spring Festival. Last year, more than 700 people attended this event and enjoyed the performances. And we are expecting more this year!

2008年"国家优秀自费留学生奖学金"申请通知

为了鼓励和帮助品学兼优的优秀自费留学生顺利完成学业，激励优秀自费留学生回国工作或以多种形式为国服务，经教育部批准，国家留学基金管理委员会设立的2008年"国家优秀自费留学生奖学金"项目的申报、受理工作从9月1日开始，截止时间为10月31日。

UMCSSA现在拥有网站，BBS论坛，以及邮件列表，可能会引起大家的混淆，这里统一说明如下。

网站 http://umcssa.info
网站的主要作用是发布重要的通知和活动信息，在Annoucements和Events板块，比如打折卡发售信息，新春晚会的时间地点等等，可以看作是BBS论坛和邮件列表的精华区。另外，网站上会存放一些常用信息，便于大家查找，主要在Guidebook板块，比如新生手册，各种在线文档等等。再次，网站在Groups板块列出AA主要的华人学生社团，可以供各个社团保存自己的重要文件，便于查找。最后，网站可以提供一些BBS论坛和邮件列表所不具备的功能，比如Blog聚合器用来提供同学们Blog的合集，Polling等等。
(备注：http://umcssa.info主要服务于当地华人社区建设，UMCSSA的官方网站将位于http://umcssa.net，后者正在重建中)

论坛是构建AA华人虚拟社区的主要地点，所有在线讨论都在这里，最新的信息发布也会在这里。虽然最精华的信息会转发到网站上，但论坛会有更多的信息，而且所有的双向交互讨论都会在论坛上。欢迎大家积极参加讨论，结交新的朋友。

邮件列表仅作发布重要活动通知的工具，广告转移到BBS上。邮件列表中的广告过多，重要通知往往被湮没其中，致使被用户忽略；绝大多数广告只是针对一部分人的，却要发给所有人，不相关的人也要受到邮件的骚扰，在这里，显然信息接受者没有选择权，以致用户通常不得不用一个专门的信箱来接收大量邮件，在需要租房、卖东西的时候才会上来看看，过后就退出或者再不查看信箱。简言之，广告邮件过多，一方面给用户带来很大不便，另一方面也削弱了重要通知的传播有效性。对每一类邮件，对应的版面如下：
